Sacred Kingfisher at The Leaning Tree, Greenough, 23/09/12

The Leaning Trees can be seen while driving along the highway through the Greenough area on the Western Australian Coastline.  These trees have become horizontal with the ground caused by airborne salt, blown in from the wind from the Indian Ocean.  The trees are a popular tourist attraction and photographic opportunity for visitors to the area.  When we stopped to have a better look at them and read the information, there was a Sacred Kingfisher perched on the twisted trunk of the Leaning Tree.  J & B
